Abuja will host one of Africa’s most influential trade and investment gatherings from June 25–27, 2025 the 32nd Annual Meetings of Afreximbank. This year’s theme, “Building the Future on Decades of Resilience,” sets the tone for a forward-looking, solutions-driven dialogue.
Key speakers include Nigeria’s President H.E. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, and African Union Commissioner Ambassador Albert Muchanga. They will be joined by business leaders such as Aliko Dangote and Tony Elumelu, renowned scholars like Professor Jeffrey Sachs, and policymakers from across the African and Caribbean regions.
The meetings will serve as a high-level platform to discuss trade integration, investment mobilisation, and the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). Strategic themes include enhancing cross-border payment systems, deepening Africa-CARICOM partnerships, and involving the private sector in meaningful policy reform.
Professor Benedict Oramah, President of Afreximbank, said the meetings are designed to convert years of resilience into practical action. Following the 2024 edition in The Bahamas, this return to Africa is expected to build strong momentum for continental progress.
AAM2025 is expected to catalyze multi-billion-dollar trade deals, strengthen South-South cooperation, and drive innovation across priority sectors. By convening thousands of participants from over 80 countries, the forum aims to set the agenda for inclusive, competitive, and globally relevant African economies.
