The United Nations climate conference, COP31, will take place from 9 to 20 November 2026 at the Antalya EXPO Center in Türkiye, bringing governments together for the next round of international climate negotiations.

The UNFCCC confirms that the gathering includes the governing meetings associated with the Climate Convention, the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement. The conference will provide a setting for negotiations alongside a wider programme of climate-related activity.

For communities exposed to climate risks, the practical questions extend from international commitments to access to resources and delivery. Water systems, agricultural resilience and infrastructure all depend on investment choices that can be followed beyond a summit’s closing statement.

Businesses and public institutions can monitor the conference for developments affecting clean energy, climate finance and resilient development. Proposed initiatives should be distinguished from adopted decisions, and pledges from finance that has actually reached a project.

Coverage also needs to examine who can access funding and what implementation requires. Clear project preparation, institutional capacity and accountability will shape whether an international commitment translates into services and stronger livelihoods.

COP31 runs from 9–20 November in Antalya. Participants and media should use the UNFCCC’s official information pages for accreditation, venue guidance and programme updates.
