Kenya’s Clean Cooking Association has announced that the seventh Clean Cooking Week will move from 3–6 November to 9–11 December 2026 at Kamkunji Grounds in Nyeri County. The postponement matters to exhibitors and delegates because older November dates remain visible in some online event information.
Les association’s public notice identifies 8 December as the set-up day for exhibitors who have already paid. A separate ELMECC Hub listing gives 9–11 December for the main event at the same venue.
The government event website now shows December on its homepage, but its date range extends to 12 December. Its agenda page still contains November references alongside December text, so the published information is not yet fully consistent.
This report follows the association’s explicit postponement notice for the main event dates. Participants should obtain the latest written programme and individual booking confirmation before changing travel or freight arrangements, particularly where their activities extend beyond the principal conference days.
The event is intended to connect government, businesses, researchers and other stakeholders around cooking technology, health and access. Its practical significance lies partly in bringing household requirements into the same discussion as supply, finance and institutional purchasing.
A manufacturer selling equipment to a school or hospital faces different operating requirements from a household supplier. Meal volumes, available fuel or electricity, servicing and staff training affect whether a proposed system can work reliably after installation.
Exhibitions can help buyers compare those requirements with suppliers’ offers. A demonstration or an improved stove design does not, on its own, establish fuel affordability, emissions performance or suitability for every kitchen.
The date change also separates the Nyeri meeting from Tanzania’s November Renewable Energy Week, whose programme includes clean cooking. Businesses working across East Africa should therefore check the two programmes independently and track further organiser updates rather than relying on older event calendars.
