The International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), the trade finance arm of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, has appointed Engineer Adeeb Y. Al Aama as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This appointment, which took effect on April 20, 2025, was approved by the ITFC Board of Directors upon the recommendation of H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, Chairman of the ITFC Board and President of the IsDB Group.
Eng. Al Aama, who brings over three decades of leadership experience, expressed his honor in assuming the leadership role at ITFC. In his statement, he emphasized the commitment to advancing ITFC’s mission of empowering member countries through innovative trade financing and development solutions. He outlined his vision to build on ITFC’s solid foundation to foster strategic partnerships and contribute to sustainable economic growth in the member countries.
Eng. Al Aama’s extensive career includes key roles such as serving as Saudi Arabia’s Governor for OPEC and Deputy Minister of Energy for Kingdom Affairs in OPEC and Global Oil Markets. His expertise in international trade, energy markets, and strategic planning is set to benefit ITFC and its mission significantly.
