IUCEA seeks two senior Horn of Africa consultants: apply by 6 November 2026

The Inter-University Council for East Africa invites expressions of interest for two individual consultancy assignments supporting the Horn of Africa Initiative: Senior Program Officer — Officer-in-Charge (UG-IUCEA-577529-CS-INDV), and Senior Operations Officer — Results and Communication (UG-IUCEA-577537-CS-INDV).

Both assignments are based in Nairobi. The programme role covers secretariat leadership, coordination and high-level stakeholder engagement. The operations role covers results monitoring, communications and visibility. These are consultancy assignments; applicants should review the contractual terms in the official documents.

The programme position requires a relevant master’s degree and at least ten years of relevant postgraduate experience, including a minimum of seven years in the Horn of Africa at a relatively senior public-sector level. The operations position requires a relevant master’s degree and at least seven years of relevant postgraduate experience in the Horn of Africa.
