The Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), a member of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, has disbursed €15 million (9.8 billion CFA francs) to Crédit Communautaire d’Afrique (CCA-Bank) in Cameroon. This financing initiative is designed to bolster Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Cameroon, supporting key sectors such as agribusiness, transportation, and healthcare.

The aim of the facility is to provide medium- and long-term resources for private project leaders, enabling sustainable development in the region. The financing will also enhance CCA-Bank’s Islamic Window, enabling it to offer Sharia-compliant financial services, thus contributing to the growth of Islamic finance in Cameroon.

The funding is expected to stimulate job creation and economic growth in the country, while promoting the development of local industries and infrastructure.
