MEDICA 2026 will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany, from 16 to 19 November, with a new Digital Health Stage focused on how emerging technologies can be used in everyday healthcare.

According to the organiser, the programme will examine artificial intelligence, robotics, cloud systems, extended reality and cybersecurity. The stage will be located in Hall 17, with discussions linking technological development to practical clinical applications.

The central issue for healthcare providers is whether an innovation can improve care within the resources and systems available. A demonstration offers a starting point; evidence, affordability and the ability to support staff through adoption determine its wider value.

Secure exchange of health information is another important consideration. Digital records and connected applications need to support clinical work while protecting sensitive patient information and maintaining clear responsibility for decisions.

For hospitals and health technology businesses, MEDICA offers an opportunity to examine equipment and potential partners. Procurement decisions should consider maintenance, training and operating costs alongside the initial purchase price.

The fair’s forthcoming presentations will provide material for reporting on healthcare innovation. Product claims and early research findings will need careful qualification before they are translated into advice for patients.

MEDICA runs from 16–19 November 2026 in Düsseldorf. Official programme and registration information is available through the trade fair’s website.
