The Radiological Society of North America will hold its 112th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting at McCormick Place in Chicago from 29 November to 3 December 2026.

The meeting, themed “At the Center of Care”, will feature scientific presentations, expert discussions and technical exhibits. RSNA’s advance media information identifies research areas including cancer, stroke, heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease and artificial intelligence.

Medical imaging can influence diagnosis and treatment, but new research needs to be interpreted in context. Study design, patient population and the strength of the evidence determine what a finding can reasonably support.

For health services considering imaging technology, the purchase of equipment is one part of delivery. Specialist staffing, maintenance, dependable operation and pathways for acting on results all affect patient benefit.

The meeting’s AI Showcase and technical exhibits will provide opportunities to examine emerging applications. A product demonstration should be distinguished from independent evidence that a tool improves outcomes in clinical practice.

InAfrika’s coverage will focus on developments that help explain patient needs and the practical delivery of care. Preliminary conference findings will be identified as such, with attention to the limitations of the available evidence.

RSNA 2026 runs from 29 November to 3 December in Chicago. Media access requires approval by RSNA; official meeting and accreditation information is available on its website.
